G. H. Mumm

The House of G.H MUMM was officially founded in 1827 but its roots date back to Germany in the 1760’s where the family had a wine business with vineyards in the Rhine valleys. So in 1827 a branch was opened in the Champagne region since when the House has produced some of the finest champagnes in the world. Quality is of the highest importance and comes from the motto written by Georges Hermann Mumm: "Only the best". Today, they house nearly 25 million bottles, stored in the cellars owned by the House. Those cellars were dug by hand out of the chalk and total some 25km. The House is well known amongst motor racing fans, Mumm provides the Champagne for that special moment on the podium when the 3 top drivers shower the crowd below with Cordon Rouge after each Formula 1 Grand Prix.
